Yesterday I was prompted for to update Shazam in the app store and went to take a look at what had changed. Now out of beta, Shazam is now offering a free version with 5 free tags and a premium version with unlimited tagging. However, Shazam has made an excellent decision to automatically upgrade anyone who had tagged songs prior to July 13th to the premium version automatically.I think this is a fantastic way to reward your beta testers and acknowledge that early adopters provide the feedback necessary to drop that beta badge.
Kudos to Shazam for great mobile practices, and more importantly, a great product!
