If I hadn't been looking for an easy way to get my Apple+ content on my TV, I never would have stumbled upon the Roku player. I have been (semi)happily using Amazon Firestick and was okay with it until I realized there was no way to get Apple Plus.
*Sidenote: as I checked my facts for this article, I noticed in my Amazon purchase history that I had in fact bought a Roku 11 years ago! Clearly, it has grown leaps and bounds since then- I don't even remember using it back then:
There are 2 killer features for me:
1. Power and volume controls on the Roku remote itself
2. The ability to use your phone (and therefore earbuds) while streaming. This makes it such a great option if I am watching TV while my husband is asleep.
