Time for a Kindle

I have been enamored with the Kindle since the original iteration but I just haven't been able to justify the cost. But with our upcoming vacation and summer reading in general, I finally decided to treat myself. My Kindle arrived today and I am really fascinated with the e-ink technology....how does it do that?? I sat in the backyard reading 'Something Borrowed' and was impressed with the readability of the screen in daylight. My only mild wishlist is that I would love to be able to select my own screensaver art. But, aside from that I think its the perfect way to do my ereading.
