I am one happy camper right now- I have the 2 gadgets I've been dying to get my hands on for months, and now I found a tip on how to get them both rooted with no fancy footwork required! This tip from Android Central works not only on the Galaxy Tab but also on the Motorola Droid Pro. You should get Z4Root from the marketplace and root now if you need to! My Tab got rooted in about a minute, but my Droid Pro froze the first 2 times so I did battery pulls and tried again and the last time it got rooted quickly too. Now that I'm rooted I can do screenshots (yay!) but more importantly I can restore some of my precious backup data from my Nexus One using Titanium Backup.
