Over the past weekend I decided to take the leap and update my Nexus One to FroYo. I'll detail later how I finally got it done, but the feature I was most excited to try out was the mobile hotspot. Since I've been toting around my new Asus EEE PC, I'm very interested in any solution that will get me connected.
I tried it for the first time today and was very happy with the results. Its as easy as toggling the hotspot feature on, and then using the netbook to connect to the AndroidAP network. Connection speed was about 800kbps which is enough to get through a few light pages in a pinch.
Overall, I'm pleased at the option even though I probably won't be using it on a daily basis.
