Since the battery on the Onyx (i.e. Blackberry 9700) can really take a licking and keep on ticking, I decided to see if the OS could be pushed just as hard. Over the past week I resolved to not do a battery pull and see how low my memory would go and how it would impact the device. I'm pleased to announce that I was able to make it through an entire week without any lags or running out of memory. In fact, it was only because a few of my favorite apps released updates (Poynt, QuickLaunch, Flixster) that I was finally forced to submit to a battery pull! Looks like OS 5 has found a way to fix the memory leak that plagued 4.5 and 4.6
