Health Tech

Today on a trip to Best Buy I decided to pick up a FitBit Ultra. I've been reading TrentSense blog for a while now and have been amazed at his transformation over the past year. Now, I don't imagine I will suddenly morph into Jane Fonda or anything but I certainly could be healthier overall. I was really impressed with the sleep tracking feature because I could really use the assessment.

I'll post some more after I've had some time to make some headway. So far I've set up my account and downloaded the FitBit app to my Droid and Tab 7.7. I'm kind of excited to see if this gets me motivated to get fit.

Incredible vs Razr M

It never fails. I finally decide to upgrade my phone and there is a new one announced right after. I have a short window of time (2 days) to decide whether I want to swap my Incredible for the new Razr M....pros and cons

Razr M
+ Larger battery
+ Edge to edge screen
+ $50 less than the Incredible
- Accessories (dock) not yet available
- So much work involved in exchanging (phone wipe)
- If I don't like it I can't switch back
- Don't like body (back) style

Incredible 4G
- Smaller battery
- $50 more than the Incredible
+ Already bought desk and car docks
+ Love the body style
+ I know I like it
= Features are the same as the Razr M

Hmmm, this decision may be easier than I thought....

Phone Upgrade: Take Two!

In the almost 2 years that I've had my Droid Pro I've only had 1 truly close call where I contemplated upgrading to a newer phone. You will of course recall Admiral-gate of late last year which sent me scurrying back to the Pro. But a nearly crippling lack of memory had me back in the market to upgrade. I already made my peace with not having a good QWERTYBar option, but I was determined to steer clear from the behemoth phones.
After careful inspection of all of Verizon's offerings, I decided to go with the.....(drumroll please!)....Droid Incredible 4G LTE!

It's a powerful little machine with a similar footprint to my Droid Pro. I was pleasantly surprised to find that my company discount dropped my accessories by 25% so I picked up a car mount and a desk mount.
So far, it's been a lovefest with my new incredible. Its so nice to have apps open instantly again! I haven't strayed much from my usual settings, except that I am using SwiftKey as my main typing app. As always, here is a little homescreen pr0n:

And how's this for LTE 4G speeds:
