Christmas Hangover

Yesterday was a really great Christmas for us. One of the gifts I got for my husband was a Nintendo Wii, so we ended up spending most of the day alternating between playing and watching Netflix shows via streaming.
This year I made an Amazon wishlist because I *really* wanted the GoGroove Flexsmart for my Rogue so I could lose the unsightly wires that were marring the smooth lines of my console. Dean got me that, as well as something not on my wishlist- an automatic car starter. I loved that in our old Xterra especially for the brutal summer heat here in Texas. Turn on the car and the airconditioner cools the car down before you get in- brilliant! Naturally, its about 24 degrees here now, so I'm sure I will also appreciate being able to warm up the car before I get in.
It wasn't all car stuff- I also got a huge bottle of one of my favorite perfumes and something saucy from the lingerie department. I got him a gift certificate for 4WD which is where he gets most of his Jeep accessories, as well as an air filter (a leftover from his birthday wishlist). But the prize for most gifts goes to Seth who had so many gifts (our neighbor actually stopped by the night before and brought yet another one for him!). He got lots of trucks, Hess collector trailer and jet, racetrack with cars and a life-sized Jeep for him to drive around the yard.
But at the end of the day, it was so wonderful to spend the day together laughing and having a good dinner. Sometimes I think back to my single life, and even though I have good memories of times spent with friends, nothing compares to a Christmas spent with my own family. I hope yours was filled with family and love too.
