In all the hoopla of the Palm Pre yesterday I forgot to mention that the Blackberry Facebook client received a pretty significant upgrade. The newest version has just about all the features of the website with the exceptions of chat and video uploading/viewing. I've always felt like the most lacking feature in 1.5 and lower versions was the ability to view the newsfeed and I'm happy to report that this version gives that function. I think the 1.6 is now actually an improvement over the iPhone version since you can get all your notifications in the background, and have more interaction from within the app once its opened.
While I'm excited about the newsfeed function, a lot of people will be thrilled to see the photo album viewing. Finally you are no longer dumped to the browser for every photo you want to view!
If you have a Blackberry and use Facebook you should definitely upgrade to 1.6- you can get it from App World, or check for upgrade in the options of 1.5.
